Congratulations to our new (and returning) board members Lindsay, Justin, and Kevin!
April 23, 2020
Hard-working, community-oriented, passionate, and victorious. What do these words have in common? They are all characteristics of our three board election winners, of course! Let’s meet the winners, shall we?
Lindsay Gillanders
First-time candidate, Lindsay Gillanders, has earned a spot on the Sunova board. As a young, female entrepreneur, and, as a former Sunova employee with knowledge of the organization, Lindsay believes that she can view challenges, opportunities, and market trends through an insightful lens that is currently under-represented on the board.
Justin Evenden
Justin Evenden, who served on the Sunova board from 2013 – 2019, was voted back onto the board this year. With rural Pinawa roots, executive experience in information technology, and being the past vice-chair and audit chair of the board, Justin is ready to apply his knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm to another term with Sunova.
Kevin Beresford
Last, but certainly not least, the membership re-elected long-time director, Kevin Beresford, who has served on the Sunova board since 2008. For twelve years, Kevin has been committed to the organization and will ensure that Sunova continues to be a leading financial institution that provides a wide range of quality products and services to members.
Farewell Lindy Norris and Chris Kinghorn
Two of Sunova’s directors, Lindy Norris and Chris Kinghorn, did not seek re-election this year. During their respective terms, they dedicated countless hours, invaluable expertise, and an unparalleled, genuine care for our members. We wish them all the best in the future and thank them for their service.
Thank you again to all other candidates including Chad Bisko, Duncan McDougald, Ed Pogorzelec, Jim Campbell, and Jim McCarthy. Sunova wishes you well in all of your future community involvement endeavours.
