Access Credit Union Named Top Employer in Manitoba for 9th Consecutive Year

Manitoba— Access Credit Union has been named one of Manitoba’s Top Employers for the ninth year in a row, released by the editors and organizers of Canada’s Top 100 Employers on March 21, 2023.

As a workplace of choice in Manitoba, Access has created a culture to maintain a healthy work-life balance, with joint management and employee health and wellness committees and leadership training to stress the importance of this balance. Access ensures that employees use all their vacation time and are encouraged to work only their set hours.

“My job is to create an environment where people can excel. I find if people are empowered to excel, they will,” says Larry Davey, President and CEO of Access Credit Union. “We spend a great deal of time on leadership training and getting the staff flow as frictionless as possible. I find that if staff are empowered and know they are trusted, they are that much more engaged.”

Benefits of working at Access include paid training and continuing education, flexible hours and work locations, matched pension plans, competitive salaries, 100% tuition subsidies, a fully paid health plan and family coverage, and the opportunity to contribute to the community.

Published in the Tuesday, March 21st edition of the Winnipeg Free Press, Manitoba’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. This special designation recognizes the Manitoba employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Published annually since 1992, The Career Directory is Canada's longest-running employment guide for new graduates and is a guide to entry-level recruitment for recent college and university graduates. Highlights in Access' winning submission include the development and engagement of staff as well as a continued focus on member service and innovative technologies.
