Paws for a Cause cancer walk
July 06, 2020
We are proud to walk to support cancer patients this September at the Paws for a Cause Cancer walk. All money raised goes to support patients right here in Manitoba through the Never Alone Cancer Foundation.
Let’s be real for a minute; cancer sucks. It’s scary, challenging, and confusing, but the Never Alone Cancer Foundation (NACF) reminds us it doesn’t have to be lonely. NACF is here to support patients and families through their cancer journey. Whether they are helping with rides to appointments, finding a new walker, or being an ear to listen, with the NACF you have a team of volunteers on your side throughout your cancer journey.
We love that NACF is focused on supporting people as they need it. Something seemingly small, like a ride or help packing, can go a long way to reduce the financial burden cancer can bring or bring peace to someone’s last few days. The NACF volunteers are always watching and listening to see how they can best support. They are a pretty amazing group of people.
So along with a donation to the NACF, we have made a team for the Paws for a Cause Cancer walk September 14 – 20. We’d love it if you joined us. It’s free to register or you can select a paid option to receive a bandana or walk shirt.
Our team, including Bill, will be walking from our own neighbourhoods that week in support of cancer patients and their families and any top fundraisers will be invited to a special in-person event on September 20.
You can sign up for our team or create one of your own.
Walk: September 14 – 20
Registration: $0 – $15
