your first chequing account
Were you able to finally convince your parents that you should get your own account with your own personalized Sunova debit card? Did you just get your first job and need a place for your paycheques to be deposited every two weeks? That’s awesome, congratulations!
Before you go out and get your first chequing account, there are a couple things you should consider. First, many banks and financial institutions charge a monthly service fee so you want to make sure you know how much they will be taking from your account each month. Second, you should know how many debit transactions (or withdrawals) are included with that fee each month and what happens if you exceed that number.
With our junior chequing account, we don’t charge a monthly service fee (yup, it’s free!) and we give you up to 30 free transactions each month. That works out to about one withdrawal from your account each day, which should be more than enough.
