Are you a student strapped for cash? We can help! With our low fee account for post-secondary students and a no fee account for junior high and high school students, we can help save you money so you can spend it on more important things like your tuition or saving for your first car!

Post-Secondary Student account

As a university student, you have enough to worry about! Between tuition, student loans, car payments, books, and school supplies, the last thing you should be concerned about each month is services charges from your financial institution.

That’s why we are happy to offer our Post-Secondary Student account. With a low monthly fee and 40 free transactions per month, we’re here to help make university or college a little bit easier on you. Our knowledgeable staff are available to help answer any questions you may have about your student or personal loans. They can also work with you to ensure your monthly payments are manageable so you don’t have to spend as much time worrying about your finances and instead focus on those upcoming exams.

We know you’re busy but we want to help. Feel free to give us a call or stop by your local branch so we can get you set up with our post-secondary student chequing account and go over any questions you might have about your loans or lines of credit.

Junior Chequing account

Were you able to finally convince your parents that you should get your own account with your own personalized Sunova debit card? Did you just get your first job and need a place for your paycheques to be deposited every two weeks? That’s awesome, congratulations!

Before you go out and get your first chequing account, there are a couple things you should consider. First, many banks and financial institutions charge a monthly service fee so you want to make sure you know how much they will be taking from your account each month. Second, you should know how many debit transactions (or withdrawals) are included with that fee each month and what happens if you exceed that number.

With our junior chequing account, we don’t charge a monthly service fee (yup, it’s free!) and we give you up to 30 free transactions each month. That works out to about one withdrawal from your account each day, which should be more than enough.

We know this can all be a bit confusing, so give us a call or stop by your local branch. We’d be happy to answer any and all questions you might have about banking.
