shine bright community investment deadline

While the season of giving may be over, at Sunova, we are always in the giving spirit with our Shine Bright Community Investment Program. With our next community investment deadline coming up, we’re happy to share that in 2020, we are continuing to support three areas of wellness:

  • Physical
  • Financial
  • Mental + emotional

If you are part of an organization that supports one of our wellness pillars, now is the time to apply for funding. Our next community investment application deadline is January 31. Right now, we are looking for initiatives happening April – September.


The application process

If you’re thinking of applying for funding, the first step is to review our community investment funding guidelines to make sure your project is something we’d support and get tips on putting your best paw forward (Get it? Paw? Dogs? St. Bernards?).


Next, you need to fill in the online application form. We do not accept applications that are emailed, snail-mailed, or delivered by pigeons, so you do need to fill in the online form. Make sure you take time thinking of your answers and give us all the information we need to decide if we are going to provide funding. We can really tell when someone has put thought and effort into an application and it does make a difference to us.


Tip: After you submit your application, you will receive an email confirming it has gone through with copy of what you filled in. If you don’t receive this, your application wasn’t sent properly. Make sure you have a good internet connection and that any attachments are under 5mb.


After you’ve submitted your application, it’s time to wait. We review all the applications after the deadline (January 31) to keep things fair for everyone who’s submitting. You will get a response from someone at Sunova, whether your project is receiving funding or not. We try to reply to everyone by the end of February, however, it may be a bit longer depending on how many applications we receive.
