We have some very exciting news for you!

On April 24, Oak Bank Credit Union held their annual general meeting where members had the opportunity to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the proposed amalgamation with Sunova (hey, that’s us!). For the vote to pass, a 2/3 majority was required, and we are thrilled to say that just over 70% voted in favour of the amalgamation. At Sunova’s annual general meeting on April 26, the same vote took place and a 2/3 majority was also achieved.

We can’t wait to welcome our friends at Oak Bank Credit Union to Sunova. And, in case you were wondering, all Oak Bank Credit Union branches will remain in the communities of Oakbank, Birds Hill, and Dugald, and all staff will have a place at Sunova! (So no worries, OBCU members and staff, we’ve got your back.)
